Day 1 · Today, you don’t have to carry this alone.
Morning
Anxiety can show up before you even have words for it. You might feel tightness, restlessness, or dread, and it can be exhausting. Nothing about that makes you a failure or a burden. This morning can be small and gentle, and you can be held in it.
God, I’m here with what I feel, even if I cannot explain it. Stay close to me in the places that feel tight and loud inside. Let your presence be steadier than my racing thoughts. Carry what I cannot carry right now. Hold my body, my mind, and my heart with tenderness. Teach me that I am not alone in this moment. Amen.
You have permission to take this moment slowly.
Evening
God, I let this day rest in your hands. I release what felt urgent, what felt scary, and what I could not control. Stay near to me through the night. Nothing needs to be resolved today; you can rest.
Day 2 · This moment is allowed to be simple.
Morning
Anxiety often demands your attention, as if you must solve something immediately. But you are allowed to be a person, not a project. If your feelings repeat, that does not mean you are going backward. You can just be here, and God can be here with you.
God, meet me in the simplicity of this moment. When my mind runs ahead, bring me back to your nearness. Let your love be quieter than my fear and stronger than my panic. I do not ask for perfect calm; I ask for your company. Sit with me when I feel unsettled. Be gentle with me when I feel overwhelmed. Amen.
You have permission to feel what you feel without explaining it.
Evening
God, I place this whole day into your care, even the parts that felt messy. I loosen my grip on what I could not fix. Keep watch over me as I sleep. Nothing needs to be resolved today; you can rest.
Day 3 · You can breathe without earning peace.
Morning
Anxiety can make your body feel like it has to stay on alert. Even if you look fine on the outside, you may be working hard just to get through the day. You do not have to earn relief or deserve rest. God’s presence is not waiting for you to calm down first.
God, I come to you exactly as I am, with a tired mind and a guarded body. I do not have to perform calmness for you. Let your peace be a gift that simply arrives, even in small ways. Hold me when my chest feels tight and my thoughts feel crowded. Be near to the parts of me that feel ashamed for struggling. Keep me in your care, steady and safe. Amen.
You have permission to receive comfort without proving anything.
Evening
God, I set down the weight I carried today. I release the looping thoughts and the pressure to be okay. Hold me in your steady love through the night. Nothing needs to be resolved today; you can rest.
Day 4 · Even here, you are still held.
Morning
Sometimes anxiety feels like it takes over the whole room inside you. It can make you doubt your own strength, your own faith, or your own ability to cope. But your anxious moments are not outside of God’s care. You are still held, even when you feel shaky.
God, I’m bringing you the part of me that feels afraid and unsteady. Hold me without scolding me for being human. Let your presence be like a hand on my shoulder, steady and kind. When I feel alone inside my thoughts, remind me you are here. Keep me from believing that fear gets the final word. Stay with me, quietly and faithfully. Amen.
You have permission to be supported.
Evening
God, I give you what still feels unfinished in me. I do not have to solve my own nervous system tonight. Stay close as I fall asleep and as I wake. Nothing needs to be resolved today; you can rest.
Day 5 · You are not behind; you are cared for.
Morning
Anxiety can make you feel like everyone else is moving forward while you are stuck. It can be hard to trust your own pace when you feel fragile. But you are not behind in God’s eyes. You are cared for right where you are.
God, when anxiety tells me I’m failing, speak your gentleness over me. Let me belong to you without conditions. Hold my life with patience when I cannot move quickly. Be close to me in the ordinary moments that feel hard. Give me a sense of being kept, even if nothing changes today. Let your love be my ground when I feel unsteady. Amen.
You have permission to have a slower day.
Evening
God, I hand you the comparisons, the pressure, and the hidden fear. I let the day be what it was. Keep me safe in your care as the night comes. Nothing needs to be resolved today; you can rest.
Day 6 · God can stay with you in the uncertainty.
Morning
Anxiety often grows around the unknown, the waiting, and the “what ifs.” You may not have clarity, and you may not be able to make the feeling go away. That does not mean you are abandoned. God can stay with you in uncertainty, without rushing you.
God, I bring you what I do not know and what I cannot control. Stay with me in the unanswered places. Let your faithfulness be enough for this hour. When my mind searches for certainty, hold me in your steady love. Help me feel your closeness even when my fear is loud. Keep me from carrying tomorrow in my body today. Amen.
You have permission to not know right now.
Evening
God, I release tomorrow into your hands. I let the unknown be held by you instead of by me. Be near as I sleep, calm and steady. Nothing needs to be resolved today; you can rest.
Day 7 · You can rest while God remains awake.
Morning
Anxiety can make rest feel risky, like letting go will cause something to fall apart. If you feel worn down, that makes sense. You are allowed to be tired, and you are allowed to need care. God does not ask you to stay on watch all the time.
God, I am tired, and I bring you my tiredness. Teach my heart that I can loosen my grip and still be safe with you. Stay awake over what worries me, even when I cannot. Let your love hold the parts of me that are tense and braced. Be near in the quiet, and be near in the dark. Keep me in your care, now and always. Amen.
You have permission to rest without staying on guard.
Evening
God, I set down my watchfulness and my worry. I entrust my body and my mind to your care tonight. Hold me gently through the hours of sleep. Nothing needs to be resolved today; you can rest.
